To duck and weave

Ah! a vicious, artless short ball
I duck under it, at times weave away
I let it go, but I watch it all the way— A desperate bowler’s hurled aggravation, limps into the keeper’s hand. All the aggression as harmless as the needless drama

Proving a point is not my burden
But surviving and scoring is. To duck and weave ain’t no sign of weakness.
Passive resistance is not cowardice, it signals temperament, strategy.
Intention to persist, at all odds
Bring it on bowlers!!
For I am here for the long haul
